Fellow Federationists:

We have achieved a major step forward in getting guide dogs taken out of SB 234.

I want to give huge thanks to Alan Gunzburg, of Greenwich, for making initial contact with State Senator Danté Bartolomeo's office about this bill. Senator Bartolomeo is from the Meriden/Middletown area, and I talked this morning with Sue Driscoll, her legislative aide.

I am expecting a call from Senator Bartolomeo herself to discuss the bill.

I hope we are successful. The fight is not over, but we now have some hope because we have the bill's author's name and attention.

Yours,

Justin Salisbury

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-and there was no one left to speak for me.
