Please remind me, who receives these donated funds? NFB of CT only or NFB along with other non-profits?
Thanks,
Cheri

Subject: [Ct-nfb] Important Information
To all members & friends of THE NFB of CT:
In the event you haven’t heard, we are once again participating in the Travelers Championship’s Birdies for Charity fund raiser. This year, we are asking members to not only donate, but to ask family members, friends and business associates to participate. Last year we had a fairly poor response from our membership and we had only 23 contributors. If you are among those that contributed, “Thank You”! If you didn’t make a pledge or donation, why didn’t you? I realize that many of you are on a fixed income as I am. I also realize that we had a tough winter. However, if you put aside $1-2 a week until our due date, you will have plenty to honor a $10 minimum donation. You won’t be billed until after July 14th. Even after you receive your billing invoice, you have almost 60 days to mail in your payment. All payments must be received before 6 pm on September 30, 2015. Ask yourself honestly, is that too much of a hardship?
Remember, if you commit a pledge/donation by June 23rd, you are entitled to making a free guess as to how many birdies will be made during the Travelers Championship, June 24-28. First prize for guessing the exact number of birdies that are made is a $1,500.00 Visa gift card. By you winning the first prize, our affiliate, the NFB of CT, will also receive a special bonus check in the amount of $500.00. This opportunity alone is worth your $10 donation. For those of you who have some gambling blood in your veins, to make it more exciting, you can make a pledge of 2 cents a birdie minimum times the number of birdies that are made. For example, if 1500 birdies are made and you pledged 2 cents a birdie, your pledge payment would be $30.00. You can pledge any amount you wish over the 2 cent per birdie minimum.
Our goal this year is to raise $4,000.00, so let’s get going! “Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can do today”! The easiest way to make a pledge or donation is to call me at (203) 754-0211 or our NFB of CT outreach office at (860) 289-1971. You can give us the needed information over the phone or you may request a pledge form to be mailed to you. Also, you can fill out your pledge form on line by going to the following web site: https://events.r2it.com/birdies/DefaultPage/TravelersChampionship/Default.aspx?site=travelerschampionship&siteId=72 . Make your pledge/donation today! Ask family, friends and business associates today. If you need print forms to give out, contact our outreach office at (860) 289-1971 or info at nfbct.org . Don’t put it off; call me now at (203) 754-0211, Monday through Sunday between 7am & 10 pm. And remember, your payment doesn’t have to be paid until September.
Sincerely,
John A. Casolo
