I was interested in it for I feel VERY strongly that a center like LCB is BADLY needed in the Eastern portion of the United States.  My dream, some day, is to have some involvement in getting a center as such set up and was interested in any information available. Pam Allen had suggested it.

Hi Elizabeth,

If you want to look it up, here is the citation that I used in a journal article which I am about to submit:

Omvig, J. H. (2002). Freedom for the blind: The secret is empowerment. Fayetteville, AR: Region VI Rehabilitation Continuing Education Program, University of Arkansas (Reprinted in 2005 by National Federation of the Blind, Baltimore, MD).

It’s definitely worth reading if you have the time to read it. It talks about how to empower blind people to live the lives we want.

Take care,

Justin
