Hi Mary,

You’re darn right!

The truth is, the National Federation of the Blind makes many great mentors available to us all. Whether you’re a new blind parent talking to experienced blind parents or a blind college student talking to an experienced blind professional in your field, our movement has so much power in our membership to help us live the lives we want.

See you soon!

Justin

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Justin,
That's great news. You have a wonderful opportunity training with him. You are very fortunate to have a mentor at this point in your life and career.

Though we all love Ever Lee Hairston, there has been a change in our National Federation of the Blind Representative for our state convention.

Coming up from Baltimore, we will have, my friend and mentor:

John G. Paré Jr.
Executive Director for Advocacy and Policy
National Federation of the Blind

When I go to Baltimore to be trained on how to be a legislative coordinator, he is the one running those trainings. He’s a great leader and also a great person. Let’s all show him a great time!

Yours,

Justin Salisbury
