Hi all,

This email is a reminder that the Fishing Tournament is fast approaching.  This is the first of three events in which the NFB of CT is working with the law offices of Trantolo & Trantolo in raising funds for us.

I have attached a flyer that can printed and distributed within your town (my apologies it is in PDF format) if you have not already done so.  Please note this is not like the Berlin Lions Fishing Event for the low vision and blind community, but rather a tournament where several of the fish will be tagged and are eligible for the motorcycle and/or other prizes.

Please know that it is important to get the word out!  Entrance tickets are $10.00 a person, contact me if you have someone wishing to buy.  I have spoken with Trantolo and they are looking for volunteers for that day to assist with registration and locate of judges' tables. I have volunteered to work the registration and Paul plans to be fishing.
THANKS TO YOU ALL!!

Below are the details:

This fishing event, presented by Trantolo & Trantolo, LLC and co-sponsor TSI Harley-Davidson , benefits the National Federation of the Blind CT Chapter. Proceeds will be used to support year-round programs offered by the organization.
Registration starts at 5 am! This event is capped at 500 participants.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased through Paul and Cheri Duquette

Important Information for Participants:

• One (1) rod per person (fishing poles will not be provided).
• No corn, lures, flies or treble hooks. Tackle boxes will be searched. Using unapproved bait will result in immediate disqualification and elimination from contest to win any prizes. Bait is ... available for purchase that morning at Sun Valley. PARTICIPANTS MAY ALSO BRING THEIR OWN BAIT.
• Tagged fish must be alive.
• Only Trout will be scored – please throw back other fish (and trout you don’t intend to eat).
• All anglers must fish from the shoreline. Boats, rafts, floatation devices or waders will not be allowed.
• All tagged fish are redeemable for prizes – only the FIRST 5 TAGGED FISH ARE ELIGIBLE FOR WINNING the 2016 Softail Slim from TSI Harley Davidson, all others entitled to consolation prizes.
• Upon catching a tagged fish, immediately bring it to a check in point/tournament judge to have the tag called in to determine if it’s the correct tag that wins the motorcycle. You must be wearing wristband to redeem any prize.
• Prizes also awarded for most caught: most caught fish will be kept tallied by your ticket number. To enter your fish in the ‘most caught contest’ find a derby judge to have all fish tallied.
• All tagged fish must be alive when presented to judge to be eligible for prizes.
• No fishing in the spillway or rivers.
• By entering this tournament, you give permission to use of any photographs taken at the derby for advertising purposes.
• Tournament will be held rain or shine.
• All decisions by judges are final. Any arguments or disagreements will be immediate grounds for disqualification. Violation of rules will disqualify fish from tournament.
• NO FIRES OR GRILLING (breakfast, coffee, lunch and refreshments available at club house & snack bar).
• Fish at your own risk. National Federation of the Blind CT Chapter and its sponsors are not liable for accidents
