Hello Paul,

This is Steve Famiglietti from the NEAT Center.  We met today and talked
about working together.  I currently have two upcoming events.  The first
one is a Zoomtext class being held here at the NEAT Center.  Zoomtext is
software that is installed onto a PC, which enlarges the screen for people
who have difficulty reading the screen.  The company who makes Zoomtext is
called Ai Squared.  They are coming to NEAT to teach this 3 day class.  So
this class is for students, people who use Zoomtext and teachers who would
be working with others to support them using Zoomtext.  

Can you give out this flyer to people for me?

The second event I am doing is a Vision Open House, this event is where I
gather vendors and service providers who serve people with low vision or
blindness.  The next Vision Open House will be in May down at Hemlocks.  I
can't send you that flyer yet because I am waiting for a vendor to give me
his final date.  As I am writing this, I am thinking that I'd like to do a
Vision Open House at Chapter 126 adding the piece that you all do at that
location.  This might attract a different group of people to attend the
event.  One of the issues I have in working with people with low vision and
blindness is the transportation situation.  Perhaps your location is easier
for people to get to than our facility in Hartford.  

One other thing that I do, which is not part of my job here at Oak Hill is
to run a Guide Dog User's Support Group.  We meet the first Saturday of each
month from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM here at the NEAT Center.  Our group is
opened to those people who use guide dogs and also to the people who raise
puppies who will become guide dogs.  I'd like to have a meeting at Chapter
126 as a way to educate those in our group about the facility because this
could bring in more consumers for you.  We meet from September until June
and take July and August off.  The flyer has already gone out with the dates
through June of 2016, so, if you have availability in September of 2016, I
can let the group know that we'd like to meet at Chapter 126 sometime in the
fall of 2016.  If anyone at Chapter 126 is interested in coming to one of
our meetings before next fall, we meet here at NEAT from 10:00 AM to noon
the first Saturday of the month until and including June of 2016.  I haven't
sent out the flyer for September through December yet, so, if you have a
month in the fall that would work best, let me know and we can hold our
meeting at Chapter 126.
