Hi Elizabeth,

Thank you so much for the kind words.

I recall something President Riccobono said very wisely when he was elected President of the National Federation of the Blind. He said that he was not trying to fill big shoes but rather to build upon a foundation, the foundation that Dr. Maurer and the rest of the Federation had built for him. It is his job to continue building upon that foundation. It is my hope that the many great people of our affiliate will be able to treat it that way. I may have done some things to lay a good foundation for the next person, but it's not like I did it all by myself, and the rest of the team that helped me build it is still in Connecticut.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what comes next for Connecticut and to see what I can bring to our Hawai'i affiliate, too.

Take care,

Justin
