Dear Supporters of the ADA:

I am writing to let you know that there is still time left to sign up for
our conference! Don’t miss this great opportunity to network with
professionals from around the state!

Attached please find a flyer that outlines the details of a state-wide ADA
Conference that you won’t want to miss! Also attached are sponsorship
opportunities for this same Conference. Sign up for yearly membership to the
ADACC (ADA Coalition of CT) for $110 and receive 20% ($22) more off the
early registration price of $110 for the Conference for each of your
attendees. At these classes, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance
that will go toward state-wide certification as an ADA Coordinator. Your
registration fomr may be submitted with a PO or proof of check request. The
check may be sent separately once processed.

According to the Americans with Disabilities Act Title II Regulations:

§35.107 Designation of responsible employee and adoption of grievance
procedures:

  * (a) Designation of responsible employee. A public entity that employs
50 or more persons shall designate at least one employee to coordinate its
efforts to comply with and carry out its responsibilities under this part,
including any investigation of any complaint communicated to it alleging its
noncompliance with this part or alleging any actions that would be
prohibited by this part. The public entity shall make available to all
interested individuals the name, office address, and telephone number of the
employee or employees designated pursuant to this paragraph.

  * (b) Complaint procedure. A public entity that employs 50 or more
persons shall adopt and publish grievance procedures providing for prompt
and equitable resolution of complaints alleging any action that would be
prohibited by this part.

This training will help your representative gain valuable knowledge and
insight regarding that position. It is a follow-up to the Statewide ADA
Conferences that have been held the last two years in 2014-2015. This year’s
Conference will take place on Friday, October 28, 2016 between 8:00 a.m. and
4:00 p.m. at the Newington Senior & Disabled Center, 120 Cedar Street, in
Newington, CT.
