the Governor’s intent to redesignate Connecticut’s Protection and Advocacy
System for Persons with Disabilities and Client Assistance Program.  The
hearing will be held March 10th at 10 AM at the Department of
Transportation in Newington.  Public comments are also welcomed as noted in
the previous email I sent.*

*Public Act 16-66 requires Governor Malloy, no later than July 1, 2017, to
designate a nonprofit entity to replace the Office of Protection and
Advocacy for Persons with Disabilities as Connecticut’s Protection and
Advocacy System.*







*Attached please find the Governor’s Public Notice of his intent to
designate the non-profit entity Disability Rights CT as Connecticut’s
Protection and Advocacy System and to operate Connecticut’s Client
Assistance Program for Persons with Disabilities.*





*Written comments are welcome regarding this matter and will be accepted
until Friday March 10, 2017.  Written comments can be submitted:*
