Hi Beth,

Here are some of my kitchen ideas:

All my recipes are on my computer. JAWS reads them to me or I record them on a digital recorder and playback step by step.

Spices are in alphabetical order with a Friend Pen sticker for easy identification.

Dry measuring cups work very well.

All baking ingredients (flour, white and brown sugar, baking soda and powder, chocolate chips, measuring cups and spoons are all together in one spot for easier baking.

I group all grocery items and make sure they are in the same cabinet or pantry shelf every time.

A talking scale is great.

SeeingAI app (free)on my phone is great for quick identification and scanning food products for cooking instructions.

The oven temperatures I use most are marked with raised dots. My dishwasher also has dots for easier start. Microwave has dots on “start time” numbers 1,3,5, “start” and “cancel”

Streamline cleaning products, I only use a few and they are in different types of containers, so when I touch one I know exactly which one it is.

One of the best gifts I received was an Amazon Echo. It is great for setting timers and getting recipes from Food Network and other fun stuff.

I hope these help. If you have any questions, you can call me at

(860-289-8123.

Best Regards,

Joanna Bolduc

Subject: [Ct-nfb] question

Hi, does anyone have any kitchen cooking tips for losing more site? I think using dry measurements instead of a clear glass cup works best for one idea. Thanks Beth
