I have tears in my eyes as I write this. Mary expressed my thoughts eloquently.

 

Betty is with Bruce now and looking down at us feeling 100 percent healthy and happy. I cherish my memories of my time with both of them with a smile. God bless you Betty.

Lucia & All,

Betty and her husband Bruce were two of our original advocates and pioneers. 

 They were a  beautiful couple  who loved life  and were true partners. 

  They  worked tirelessly for the Blind community  and 

accomplished so much  on behalf of the NFB.  

I'm glad I knew  them.   May they rest in peace.

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I have to tell you all that Betty Woodward passed away this morning. For those of you who didn't know Betty, she has been a long-time member of our organization. She helped form the original Danbury Chapter, served in various officer positions in that chapter as well as the Hartford Chapter and on the state level. She worked in our office for a number of years calling businesses for donations. Those of you who know her have many stories of a delightful, well-respected, loving woman who has been very dear to our hearts. At the moment, there is no information on arrangements.
