There are not enough nice words in the English language to describe Betty. She was an awesome leader, a knowledgeable friend and a lady. She will be missed and the one hope that I have is that her legacy will live on in each of our hearts and in the National Federation of the Blind.

All,

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I have to tell you all that Betty Woodward passed away this morning. For those of you who didn't know Betty, she has been a long-time member of our organization. She helped form the original Danbury Chapter, served in various officer positions in that chapter as well as the Hartford Chapter and on the state level. She worked in our office for a number of years calling businesses for donations. Those of you who know her have many stories of a delightful, well-respected, loving woman who has been very dear to our hearts. At the moment, there is no information on arrangements.

Lucia
