Hi John, have we reached our max for our room block at the holiday in capital? I just tried doing it from the link on our Washington seminar page and was not able to make my room reservation.

Dear Affiliate Leaders:

Part of the annual NFB new year celebration is the first major event of the year, the Washington Seminar. As a reminder, time is quickly winding down for you to reserve your hotel room. I urge you to do this as soon as possible, as the absolute final deadline to reserve a room under our room block is Wednesday, January 8. You can reserve your room by visiting the Washington Seminar section of the website at https://www.nfb.org/programs-services/advocacy/washington-seminar.

As a quick reminder, all affiliate presidents and legislative directors are encouraged to attend the in-depth training scheduled from 9:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 10. Additionally, all Washington Seminar participants are encouraged to attend the Legislative Seminar, also on Monday, February 10 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. These two briefings will help you learn all of the ins and outs of our three legislative priorities and get you prepared to have efficient and effective meetings with your members of Congress.

Once you thoroughly understand the 2020 legislative priorities and need to charge yourself up to storm Capitol Hill, you will not want to miss our annual Great-Gathering In at 5:00 p.m. on Monday evening. This longstanding tradition is always one of my favorite yearly meetings and really puts the Federation spirit on display.

Finally, on Tuesday, February 11 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the Kennedy Caucus Room (Room 325) of the Russell Senate Office Building, we will be hosting one of my favorite newer Federation traditions, the Congressional Reception. This event provides an opportunity for Federation members to meet their members of Congress in a slightly less official setting than a traditional office meeting, while also getting to hear a few brief remarks from any members of Congress who happen to stop by.

If you have any questions I can be reached at 410-659-9314, extension 2218, or by email at jpare at nfb.org <mailto:jpare at nfb.org> .

I look forward to seeing you in DC!
