Fellow presidents:

National convention may be over, but the fall state convention season will
be here before you know it. In Virginia we're already thinking ahead to the
various logistics required to pull off a successful hybrid state convention
event. Yet, never having conducted a hybrid function, we decided to bring in
someone with experience who successfully pulled off a winning formula, and
we want to share that knowledge with you.

We cordially invite you and your respective convention operation teams to a
presentation led by NFB of Utah President Everette Bacon. He will walk us
through what worked, what could have used improvement, and what he hopes to
try next year. Also, given the ongoing health policies surrounding COVID-19,
he will talk about how his affiliate worked with their hotel to ensure a
safe meeting environment.

We believe this will be a valuable discussion for anyone hoping to draw
members in person to their gatherings. We also believe the information will
be useful to ensure optimal participation for members who choose to join the
convention remotely. There will be ample time for questions and discussion,
so please come prepared to contribute your own ideas to make this call as
mutually beneficial as possible.
