[CT-NFB] Uber and Lyft

Hi Deb,
I personally don’t know if these issues have been addressed. But something I do since I use these services frequently as I ask the driver their name to make sure that it matches what the app says, I also verify my destination without telling them myself. Meaning I ask them where the app says I’m going.
I hope this is helpful.

Best regards,

Subject: [CT-NFB] Uber and Lyft

Fellow Nfb members,
I have never used either of the above services but I understand from other members that The drivers do not call your name when they stop the car. It seems as though that would be much safer than sending a description and license plate of the car since most of us would not be able to see that. How would someone know that it was actually an Uber or a Lyft driver or just someone posing as one. Does anyone know if this issue has been addressed with these companies?
