Dear Hartford County Nfb members,
Several of my central Chapter members have experienced issues with drivers bringing them to the wrong address. They say that’s what the GPS is telling them to do. I have been in contact with the director of Hartford Paratransit, Margaret Banker. There is an ongoing investigation that will take some time. In the meantime, one of the things that has been discovered is that if the street address has a directional word such as north, south, east or west or some combination of two those words must be spelled out Versus writing E for East or SW for Southwest. For some reason doing that gets the GPS to go somewhere else. There may be other issues occurring without these directional words and so it is important that if you experience these issues on your rides and live in Hartford County, please contact Margaret Banker at the following phone number or email address.
