Dear Jen,
I do believe this matter should be left in the hands of our National Office legal team. The lead attorney has reached out to me for a phone call. Any complaints should send to me as affiliate president so I can discuss them with the attorney. Thank you for your concern.
Best regards,
Maryanne Melley

Subject: [CT-NFB] Regarding a Potential ADA Lawsuit - Request for Plaintiffs
Hello everyone
I hope you're all doing well.
The NFB legal program is assembling plaintiffs for a potential lawsuit regarding the inaccessibility of the CT Department of Social Services to blind clients. This inaccessibility relates to its Web site, lack of alternative formats for the blind and lack of provision of reasonable accommodations.
If you face accessibility barriers with the department, please e-mail me your e-mail address at:
spiderweb1 at sbcglobal.net <mailto:spiderweb1 at sbcglobal.net>
Also, please indicate you give me permission to pass your information on to the legal program.
The CT department of Social Services is violating the ADA and has done so for over ten years. This agency needs a big push from the outside, which is why this legal process is underway.
Thank you!
