[Diabetes-talk] Solo V2 Announcement

This is one problem I have found with the Prodigy meter ... no matter how
small a drop of blood there is it triggers the sequence for testing
* immediately * and there's like no time allotted to try and squeeze even a
little more sample out onto the strip before the meters already chiming in
with the result. It's too fast for my taste and often I will do a second or
third test and try to make sure I have enough blood.
A few months back when I was having issues with my then PV meter and was put
in touch with one of the reps from the company I was told that keeping my
finger bleeding for more than (I think) a minute would also produce faulty
results. So how many times to I have to jab my already toughened fingers
before I get an accurate test result and an accurate amount for the sample.
On those times when I have met with diabetic educators and asked about
having to retest I was always told I could milk the same finger if I needed
to retest. So there is now a significant change in what the manufacturer's
are doing with the meters/strips.
