Activity is great of any kind. However, most house chores are not aerobic
activity, which is good for cardiovascular health, and if you want to lose
weight too, you need aerobic activity.
But getting up and moving is better than sitting all day. It's a start.

Subject: Re: [Diabetes-talk] re what exercises are the best for diabetics
Ask for what one would call regular exercise, I am the last person to ask. I
have to confess. I figure I do enough housework in a week. Secondly, in
addition to the housework I do, and the cooking I do, I probably wash
anywhere from 15 to 20 loads of laundry a week which entails going up and
down two flights of steps. Each flight of steps from floor to floor is 13
steps. So, I ask you. I may be selfish and lazy. But, how much more
exercise, in the name of exercise, do I really need than that??? So, as you
see, if you want to talk about exercises and repetitions, I stink!! Yes. I
admit it. Bottom line here is, if I have to do it in the name of exercise,
it's not going to happen. If I have a plate to my exercise, a purpose, a
reason, then of course.
