Anita:

Here's where a bit of experimentation works wonders. Poke yourself a bunch
of times, turning the adjustment this way and that. I think you'll find
that, holding the lancet device in your left hand with the lancet end
pointing right, turning the adjustment clockwise increases the penetration
of the lancet and turning the adjustment counterclockwise lessens the
penetration. But some lancet devices work the opposite so the best advice I
can give you is to try it and see! No pain no gain!

Good luck!

Good morning!

I've finally gotten the Prodigy Voice meter sold through te Indepencence
Market at NFB. The user's manual online was very helpful in explaining how
to set up and use the buttons on the meter but I need just a little help
with the lancing device.

Can anyone tell me how best to familiarize myself with this device. I
haven't had enough practice in testing my self because my A1C hasn't been a
problem but it did rise a little per the results my lab work last month. I
forget if turning te cap left or right makes the stick lighter or stronger.

I usually set it to the lighter side since the blood is easy to get.

I thank God it hasn't been up enough that I need to test frequently but I
want to monitor it so that I can keep it under control while I can.

Thanks.
