First and most important, Lester, your advice is not correct. You never ever
ever want to cover up the transmitter. The main question is this. When you
were in the shower, where was your phone and how long were you away from it?
If you go 20 minutes without being in range of your phone, you'll get that.
There are also a bunch of other reasons why you'll get that, usually related
to the sensor, not the transmitter. I've been showering with a Dexcom for
two and a half years with no problem. Sometimes it just happens. Mine have
always come back to life on their own, usually in a few minutes. I wouldn't
worry about it unless it happens several times while using the same sensor.
Hope this helps.
Veronica

Jamie,

How long did it take? Curious so if it happens to me.

Yes, I have had that happen to me several times. It does come back. It has
something to do with the steam and moisture or something like that. I called
the first time it happened to me, and they assured me that it will come back
after a while.
