[Diabetes-Talk] Somebody ground me, please?

What I seem to remember was a change so that under Medicare, instead of insulin being covered under part B with the pump, it's now covered under Part D as a prescription. I have no prior experience since I just started Medicare in October but my insulin is certainly under my RX policy. It just bugs me that they decide how much I need, not me or my doctor. What's next? Telling me how much to eat?
For me, one surprise round of steroids and my insulin needs triple. Then what? And you'd think they'd figure out that the more they try and deny people, the more doctors will try and game the system. Dear Government and/or insurance, Save money. Butt out! <grin>
Thanks for the company here. I really appreciate it.

Amber and Veronica and all,
Yes, incredibly stressful. And like veronica, I've been dealing with sinus infections with both my kids, and now I'm feeling under the weather. It doesn't put me in a great mood. Throw in single-digit temps and snow, and I'm not a happy camper.
My son's school counselor has been meeting grizzly mama bear lately Long story, but we've had a lot of push-back from her on his IEP, and she's tangoing with the wrong mommy right now. I've been diplomatic but really firm, and she's encountering my mood that's no longer patient and wanting to put up with crap right now, smirk.

Veronica:
I feel your pain for sure. I just went to the pharmacy and paid $150 for 21 days of insulin and needles. I almost cried. It’s like, what am I working for if all of my money is going to go to this? So I’m having a pity party right along with you. I’ll even give you a diet Pepsi. :-) Yours in sympathy, Amber
