[Diabetes-Talk] dexcom alarm question

Hey,

You’re correct about the urgent low glucose alert. I believe that’s a requirement from the FDA.In the G6 app on the iPhone we can change all of the alerts aside from the urgent glucose alert to vibrate only. This includes the signal loss and sensor ending alerts. In the G6 app you have to go into the alerts set up screen in settings with in the app and turn on/off whatever alerts you want to change. I gets kind of tedious but thankfully you only have to do this once.

As far as the watch is concerned you can silence all alert sounds on the watch by changing the alerts to silent in settings, sounds and haptics and change the silent mode to on. I also for good measure make sure the silent toggle is flipped to on with in the control center on the watch. Go to the watch face, swipe up with two fingers and find the silent toggle and make sure it’s turned to on.

I hope this helps.

That would be nice, since they are super loud and get louder if they aren't dismissed. I also had my Dexcom on vibrate along with the Apple watch, which worked with the G5. Is that your experience? Maybe, I don't have the right devices set on vibrate only.
