Not quite sure what you mean if it gets in the way of daily functions or if it stays in your body. With a G6, every 10 days, you change the sensor. It just easily peels off your body. The sensor itself is literally like a sticker. The transmitter that locks into the sensor, is a little shorter and thinner than a thumb drive. It's not very big, and it is definitely not noticeable under clothes. I'm a pretty active person with two young children, and it does not get in my way.
