Hi,
Take into consideration what your own personal preferences are in foods. Of
course trying to cut out overly sugary types of foods.
My typical breakfast is more often than not a cup of fruited Greek yogurt
that has anywhere from 13-15 grams of carbs. I've tried just plain yogurt
but don't like it so I get the fruited that makes it a yummy treat. The
Greek yogurt also has more protein than just regular non-Greek yogurt. With
that I might also have either a piece of fruit like an orange or cup of
berries. Sometimes I might have a slice of cinnamon raisin bread instead of
the fruit.
You should ask to meet with a diabetic educator versed in diet/nutrition who
can give you better guidance based on your blood sugar numbers and insulin
amounts.
Good luck.
Eileen
