I always use the camera to scan the device and it works great every time.

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Oddity when pairing Dexcom G7 sensor

Good morning,
At the ungodly hour of 4 AM, my sensor expired. Not a surprise, just an anno= yance! Anyway, using VoiceOver on my iPhone 16 Pro running iOS version 18.5 I= tried to start a new sensor. After obtaining the number of the sensor on my= packaging, I went through the usual procedure of trying to enter the sensor= number. However, after activating the enter sensor number button on the iPh= one, I was surprised to find that there was no way using VoiceOver to enter t= he sensor number manually. I heard clicks when touching the keypad and the s= ubmit button was Unable to be activated as it was grayed out. I called AIRA a= nd had a person confirm that indeed there were four dots on the screen, but n= o way to enter the sensor number manually. I was able to get the sensor pair= ed by scanning with the camera, which I don=E2=80=99t do easily, but then Ca= lled Dexcom support. Apparently there was an update on the 25th. They couldn= =E2=80=99t tell me anything about whether they update has an impact on this f= unction. The person with whom I spoke, didn=E2=80=99t know what voiceover wa= s. I had closed the program and then restarted it several times prior to ca= lling AIRA. I=E2=80=99m wondering if this was a fluke with my phone or wheth= er anybody else has had this problem in the last three days when starting a n= ew Dexcom G7 sensor thanks.
