Hi Eric,

I'm not very familiar with NVDA commands, so I can't help you With the screen reader itself.

However, you should know that each NLS book entry now has two links associated with it. There's a link with the title, and then There is a download link that comes after the book's description. If you are trying to download a book, you want to make sure that you Activate the download link, Not the title link.

The title link takes you to a new page that tells you more about the book and lets you find other books with the same author, narrator, or subject.

I hope this helps,

Jim

I use the computer so little anymore, so I do not want to pay to upgrade my JAWS 10 for use with Windows 7 (the upgrade version, but I forget which that is).

This is not occurring reliably. Sometimes I see that window and sometimes not; sometimes I get the download anyway and sometimes not. I am probably so confused I am trying too many things to know what I am doing that is or is not working.
