[Electronics-talk] Unlocking Cell Phones

Hi I was wondering has anyone ran into this problem? If so, how were you able to resolve it?

I just bought an accessible cell phone which is both compatible with both A t and T and T-mobil. Unfortunately, whden I got the phone it's locked to only work with A. T and T.

Does anyone know how to unlock the phone? I found a place and they want to cvharge a service fee for unlocking the phone. I went to the A T and T store today and the customer service representative was no help to me at all. He said, "If the phone is used with A T and T, then it should not be unlocked." I said, "Can the phone be used with other services, because I have heard this is possible?"

The customer service representative said, "We do not unlock cell phones, and if our boss finds out then we can be fired." I simplay said, "Thank you," I then proceeded to leave the store.
