Many shopping malls have a watch repair shop. In fact, there are a
couple of chains. "On Time" and "Fast Fix" are two that come to mind.
Also, I believe that some Sears stores have watch repair. Radio Shack
will sell you watch batteries, but their staff will not install them.

I had a watch battery replaced on my talking watch last year for a

over five dollars. I took it to a watch repair guy.
