[Electronics-talk] Cell Phone Question

Hi Norma,

i bought the iPhone in November, and I don't regret purchasing it one bit.

If you have an AT&T store or Apple store near you I recommend getting a
demo of the phone.

When I got my IPhone, I upgraded to AT&T's family plan because I wanted to
keep my Nokia E71X with the Talks software while I was learning to use the
IPhone.

Others are correct when they say there is a learning curve involved in using
the touch screen and VoiceOver, but spending time practicing the various
touch screen gestures will help tremendously, in my opinion.

I believe the IPhone also has magnification, but I am not sure how good that
feature is.

One of my favorite features of the phone is the App store with the
hundreds of selections. There are apps for everything from finding Starbucks
locations to one which links to radio reading services available on the
Internet.

The apps included wiht the phone are accessible, and there is a list of
accessible apps on a web site called
www.lioncourt.com

I stilll have my Nokia phone, but I find that I use the IPhone more and
more.

Talks is an excellent screen reader in my opinion, but I find the e-mail and
web browser features on the Nokia to be more cumbersome and difficult to use
than those on the IPhone.

The Nokia's querty keyboard utilizes keystroke combinations for numbers and
punctuation marks thus making it more difficult to text or send e-mails.

Anyway, I hope this information is helpful.

Take care.

Liz
