Hi list. I just got a Sony digital voice recorder, model ICD-PX820; I am
wondering whether anyone on the list has this particular model and if so,
how easy do you find it to use? I know it has a Folder and Menu button for
setting things like mike sensitivity, whether voice-operated recording is
on, etc., but I'm sure these don't talk. If anyone has this particular
model, could you please send me the layout of the buttons and jacks on this
unit, and tell me whether there are different beep tones for different
functions, such as starting a recording, or starting playback? If noone has
this model or has a better recommendation for a basic digital recorder that
is easily operated by those who are blind, this information would be
appreciated. I know the Olympus machines with voice feedback cost nearly
$200, but I can't afford to spend that much for just basic recording and
playback without the bells and whistles. Thanks in advance for any info you
can give me.
