Just as an FYI, my cable provider uses TiVo for their DVR option, and
the TiVo app for the iPhone is very accessible. I can check the TV
guide, schedule recordings, set up a season pass, play recordings and so
on. Obviously, it doesn't give me access to the TV's settings
themselves, DVD menus and the like, but it pretty much does give me an
accessible DVR.
