[Electronics-talk] Debit and Credit Cards

Hi,
I've only ever had two and they only contained the account number not the
expiration date or security code.
One was the long gone AT&T Universal Mastercard which was also a phone card
that others have mentioned.
the other I'm happy to say is still available and can be gotten by special
request from customer Service if you're a Discover Card holder. However it
only contains the last 12 digits of the account number. Since all discover
accounts start with 6011 for some reason they figured it wasn't necessary to
put it preferring to space the numbers out further. I reported to them that
this might cause confusion for some and they made note therein.
I've never had a debit card featuring braille but I also don't choose to go
the debit card rout much. It doesn't mean that it isn't available or
couldn't be made so as a result of advocacy of varying approaches. It's just
not crossed my path.
Robin

Has anyone ever gotten a debit or credit card that had braille on it?
The last Wells Fargo debit card I had that had braille expired March 2010,
and I haven't been able to get them to send me another one.
Also, Citibank's Universal MasterCard had braille on it. Both cards not
only included the expiration date, but the security pin as well. Citibank's
card had the number one would use for long-distance calls too.
I recently found out that Citibank's customer service reps have access to
the security code, and they will give it to you if you provide the necessary
password information. And it isn't as easy as it may sound. They ask you
at least 3 questions associated to the info in their system.
But I'd really like for the braille cards to return and expand to other
credit cards.
Oh, yeah, Citibank will send you a new security pin if you request one in
braille. I like that. I was able to change it when I got the new one.
