I recently experienced this as regards the NBA app. I subscribed to NBA League Pass Audio, but the interface was not accessible, and I needed a sighted person to tap on the game I wanted to listen to. I opened a ticket with NBA customer support. I described my situation and said that I really wanted the content, but that if it wasn't accessible, I would want a refund. At that time the person said that they were aware of the issue because it had been reported by other blind persons and that they were working on a fix, but didn't know when it would happen. Ultimately they gave me a refund, but were nice enough to leave my subscription open so I could repurchase in the future. What ultimately happened was that the latest release of the app is now accessible, but they told me that because I had missed so many games they would allow me to listen for the rest of the season for free. Go Warriors!

I know of a friend who did that. I think he had to contact Apple to get that cleared up. He said they did it then, just that one doesn't get another chance to refund it again, which makes sense. This can end up being a bitter pill in that if we buy inaccessible apps that later become completely accessible after we got them refunded, we have to go through similar hoops to get the app again once that happens.
