[Electronics-Talk] Appliance accessibility

I wasn't trying to put raceism in this. It's just a known fact that more &
more companies that do telephone customer service work are outsourcing to
overseas places. I have had 18 years of telephone customer service. I would
like & am finally able to go back to the work force. I'm planning to take a
telephone customer service class in LA starting in March. I hope that I can
get into a company that is going to stay here in California. I know this,
again, off topic. Sorry about that. If you want to continue with this,
contact me off list so that we don't clog up this list serve.

Well, there are reasons companies are moving away from actual tactile
buttons and reasons why consumers prefer touch screens. They're cheaper,
more flexible, less likely to fail and easier to clean. Universal access
doesn't equate to physical buttons. This issue also has nothing to do with
Chinese manufacturers. American manufacturers are also interested in making
profit. I wouldn't pay attention to such over simplifications , negativity
and racism.
