Linda,
Very well written email.
The bible is food for our souls.
Just as we need physical food, we must feast on the food of the word.
As for the issue of homosexuality, as many have pointed out it is sin.
God does hate sin, and this goes for all sin.
We as Christians need to remember that yes we should be angry about this 
life style being shoved on us.
But at the same time we need to also not let this sin get in the way of the 
sins we as Christians deal with.
We are all sinners, those of us who are Christians have been saved from our 
sins.
But don't be fooled we still deal with sin.
And to God that sin is just as ugly as homosexuality.
For some people maybe they need to deal with the way they treat others.
For others maybe it is the sin of not loving a wife or husband the way God 
says we should love them.
Just my thoughts.
