OK if the broadcaster in this crowd can chime in with some remarks
even though I acknowledge this thread is getting old. Rick Warren is
most definitely a deceiver, but we must realize he is part of an even
greater network of demonic deception known as the Emergent Church. Be
on the lookout for people like Rob Bell, Brian McLaren, Doug Pagitt,
Robert Schuler, and Bill Hibels. The aim of this group is to discredit
the cross as the only means of salvation, distort the Second Coming,
and make the church no different from the world. Although this is a
blatant plug, I would invite you to check out the lecture my associate
pastor did at Christian Life College on "The Emergent Church 101".

sharing the "Agony Of Deceit". Steve Camp has restored my faith in
Christian music to a small degree. I'm a southern gospel man myself,
but I also have an ear out for classic Christian music such as this as
an alternative to EMF Broadcasting's nationalized mushy-wushy K-Love
hogwash. It's so cheesy it makes me want to hurl. The church can do
better than this personalized stuff where Jesus is only there to help
you through the day and cuddle with you when you go to bed. I'll shut
up now before I get banned when some of the Christian rookies get
offended. I'll save that rant for the radio show. More about that in
my next post. But I do have respect for groups that, although they use
modern music, their motives are pure. A group called the Appologetics
comes to mind. They were hippie rock stars back in the day, then when
God got a hold of them, they left that crowd and even turned down a
multimillion-dollar contract so they could sing for Jesus. Now they
parody rock songs and share the gospel in live concerts across the
country. Originally I had my doubts, but the testimony of Jason, the
lead singer, is excellent. Really it's not what you do that counts in
God's eyes; it's why you do it. Check out this YouTube video of their
