It is very discouraging to hear stories of blind persons being turned away
because of their service dogs.
No matter what the law says, it is contrary to the fundamental character of
church that someone would take the attitude that blind persons are not the
kind of people a church wants.
I'm thankful that my experiences have been much more favorable. As a pastor
my people are ready and willing to guide me and drive me around, and make
adjustments to help me administer Communion services. They have made every
effort to accommodate me.
My heart grieves with the woman who was turned away, and I can't help but
think that Jesus must weep with her too.
Blessings,
Tom
