Well, it's that time again at least for those of us in the Western Hemisphere, time to retire to bed. For the rest of you I hope that your morning or afternoon are going well. But, before you retire, we have something special

Miss An Cahalan was a resident of the Saint Francis Home in Breckenridge MN. The director of that home, a Sister Alverna, said that Ann was, at the time of writing, 91 years old, so more than likely she is with her Lord now. Her contribution to the poetic literature we have been presenting written by blind and/or visually impaired people is entitled "In Tribute," rendered as follows:

With grateful heart, we turn today to You
Our Benefactor true,
As we listen to recordings,
A gracious gift from You.

In our declining years,
This precious gift
Gives us deep and lasting treasure
To lighten many dreary moments
With gifts that know no measure.
With you we travel near and far
To strange and distant lands.
We view the wonders of our mother earth,
The people, nations, know their worth,
And all at Your commands.

We thank You for the change of scenes
You bring to us each day,
To learn, admire this beauty,
Though they lie so far away.
So thank You now for visions fair.
Come into our hearts today.

And there you have Ann's contribution for today. Those of you who are in your "sunset years" or even "golden years" may well appreciate her sentiments more than we who are younger.

And now may the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob just keep us safe, individually and collectively, throughout this night or day and especially in these last days in which we live. Your Christian friend and brother, Paul
