[Faith-talk] being healed from blindness

Hi Stephanie, wow, that is exactly why I have left church, too. They e

Sent from mythey ignore people who are different, and it isn't just blind people. My husband is a wonderful man, did sound for the church we left for years. When he came back last spring after being in Southern California for the usual time that we used to spend, he went to church. I was still at the Colorado Center,so he went by himself. He said that nobody even said hello to him to welcome him back. He is sighted, but had, at one time, a weight issue, though he has lost tons of weight now. He has basically told me that he's done with churches. What has happened to Christians showing love for one another? Oops, I better stop now before I start ranting again, because I promised myself that I wouldn't discuss this anymore, because it just makes me frustrated and angry. Blessings, Debbye

>> I have to say that right now, I'm feeling rather disulused with the church. They were never around to help as when things got tough for our family. I sing in the choir, but when I was ill recently, no one called or wanted to know how I was. I have a friend who is suffering for liver cancer. Same thing, they express concern but that's as far as it goes. I'd had more help and support and offered the same more to those who don't believe in God. I just think it's awful when those who claim to have a belief and love God don't show that. I'd rather mix with those who are loving, accept me for who I am, and appreciate the support.
>> Right now, I'm thinking of quitting church altogether. I still believe in God, but I want to be with those who accept me for who I am, don't give pat answers when things are tough, and just are humans.
