Dear Papa Bear,dear Mustafa,

I am not sure I understand if you already corrected some of Mustafa's
writing or were just suggesting he would do so in the future.

I think you probably know That English is not my native language
either and I am very very intersted in seeing any corrections or you
might have to suggest - especially since you referred to Mustafa's
register of language rather than glichesin his usage or grammar etc.

I am a language buff and I know I am good but I am not perfect
certainly and I am always always thankful if someone corrects me or
points out how I could improve.

I read quite fast with speech and I have my punctuation level set to
"none" and do not use a Braille device either. I have on a few
occasions commented on Mustafa's English myself but find that his
English is quite good in general and I actually would have a hard
time for the most part to catch anything indicating that he is not a
native speaker. There are a booboos but certainly not frequent ones.

ICould you please include me on any language correspondence and could
you please indicate corrections/suggestions? If you think this goes
beyond the scope of this list, I'd happily do any exchange off list.
I hope, Mustafa, this would be agreeable with you. you are someone my
husband Chris and I just really appreciate and enjoy having around
and being in contact with. And we just simply have come to like you.

My email address is

Since you expressed desire to improve and practice your spoken
English, I would suggest either a language exchange site where you
practice and teach your native language (Egyptian Arabic?) in
exchange for the same in English by your language partner or you
could sign up for a voice chat site. For a natural and connected
exchange, I find there are at least two exclusively Christian voice
chat sites though you will find these less varied in their
membership's background and less open to variety. I might get shot
for saying that some of Islam makes sense to me and that I feel I can
have fellowship with Both Muslims and Jews as we share the same
roots. It may be inersting to to you guys that an early episode of
"Adventures in Odyssy", a Christian Radio drama" gives "Allah" as one
of the many Christian names for God. I unfortunately have forgotten
the explanation.

God Bless,

Doris
