[Faith-talk] confirmation retreat advice

 Hi.
My name is Vejas. I'm a 16-year-old boy and I have my
confirmation in May.
However, next month, I have a 3Day confirmation retreat. We're
going to be staying in cabins. I don't really want to go. The
main reason for this is because I don't have any friends that are
boys that go to my church, so I can't really choose my cabin
mates. There are only 2 boys in my class but they're very
annoying and distracting, so usually I hang out with the girls.
Most boys enjoy talking about sports or girls, but I'm not into
ei; I'm more of a person that keeps to myself and likes to read
my braille-note, and only have a few friends; we are more
academic-based. During our retreat, though, we're not allowed to
use cell phones and computers, but I understand why. My main
concern is that without friends or electronics, I won't have
anything to do and that I will be completely ignored by people
who have known each other for quite some time.
Has anyone else gone through a similar time in their life?
Because if it weren't for not having many friends, I'm actually
quite looking forward to going.
Thanks so much.
Vejas
