Perhaps attending a nearby church isn't possible. I know it wasn't possible in April at the Wisconsin state convention because we are out in the middle of nowhere it seemed. But I also don't see anything wrong with inviting clergy from the area to attend either. I think it would be very nice for perhaps a place with a chaplain at a hospital or large nursing home that is church run to see us capable and in action. Depending on the attendance, perhaps they could officiate but we could do the other stuff like sir communion/Eucharist, I sure etc. and have one at the hotel where the convention is. Maybe have a few and make it ecumenical.

But we have to have an ecumenical service because not everyone is nondenominational that attends. I'm Lutheran and though I respect other people's way of doing things and believes, a lot of people would be left out. I don't feel uplifted by hearing testimonies for example. This is more for devotional time. I also personally would appreciate if the devotional time was planned by people of different face rather than focusing just on nondenominational beliefs. May songs were sung that I don't know and it made me feel a bit uncomfortable.
