Hello All,

I have two quick responses to messages that have been lately posted here.

First, this is not a list where we discuss politics. For those of you
who say you don't like our current president, please remember that
God's Word commands us as Follows: "I exhort therefore, that, first
of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks,
be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority;
that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and
honesty." 2 Timothy 2:1-2. I've heard it said, and I try to remember
it, that it's hard to complain about someone for whom you are praying.

Second, Andrew, you wonder why you should bother to go to church at
all. Well, the answer to that question is found in Hebrews 10:24-25:
"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good
works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the
manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more,
as ye see the day approaching." I know some blind folks who can't get
to church, so they go to a chat room where they worship together.
This isn't what God's Word meant, of course, because there wasn't an
internet when it was divinely inspired; but it's the only thing they
can do, unless they start a home church.

Blessings,

Linda
