nothing but a laptop -- you do need to use keyboard layout of "laptop" in 
the jaws basic options, unless you want to carry around a keyboard to plug 
in when you use the laptop. Laptop keyboards are generally smaller and have 
no numpad.

I've used a desktop computer for years but am looking at a laptop when
traveling. I'm completely at a loss as to whether I would need external
hardware, such as synthesizer, or if all software can be downloaded into the
laptop. In otherwords, is that all I need in the way of hardware?
