[Home-on-the-range] Historic Meadowlark Chapter NCAA Tournament Pool Fundraiser

Greetings fellow Kansas Federationists,

 

As you probably know, the NCAA Division 1 men's basketball tournament
selection committee has announced the brackets and pairings for March
Madness 2017. The Meadowlark At large chapter is conducting an historic
first NCAA basketball tournament pool fundraiser and you are all invited to
join in on this fun fundraiser!

 

The attached letter explains how it all works. But first, here is a brief
background on how this event got started in the Jayhawk chapter who has had
a very successful fundraising campaign involving the accessible NCAA
tournament online bracket submission system for two consecurive years
heading into our third.

 

A few years ago, Terrill Thompson launched a screenreeader accessible online
bracketing system. When Terrill, or Terry as he was then called, and I
worked together in Lawrence in the late 1990's, we discovered, much to our
disappointment, that there appeared to be no online bracket systems that
could be completed and submitted by screenreader users without sighted
assistance. Terrill resolved to do something to change that, and I now have
the privilege and joy of using and promoting this totally screenreader
accessible bracket submission website.

 

We of the Meadowlark NFBK chapter invite you all to join us in this endeavor
and to invite your family, friends, and acquaintances to join in.

 

Last but anot least, please join us for an informational conference call
tomorrow evening at 8:00pm, or at the conclusion of the Kansas Blind Seniors
