Greetings, everyone. The Johnson-Wyandotte County Chapter of the National
Federation of the Blind of Kansas is pleased to announce its April schedule
of social activities.

April 5: Game night at 6:30 p.m. on the NFB of Kansas conference call line
featuring a virtual version of Trivial Pursuit. Here are the rules:

1.	Every player will be assigned a token that contains places for six
scoring wedges-one wedge for each of the following categories: geography,
entertainment, history, art & literature, science & nature, and sports &
leisure.

2.	Jody Mulik will roll a die for the first player to determine how
many spaces that player's token will move from the hub at the center of the
game board toward a category headquarters space at the end of a spoke.

3.	Don Mulik will ask a question based on the category headquarters
where the token landed. If the player answers correctly within the allotted
time, he or she will be awarded a scoring wedge for that category. If the
answer is incorrect or if time has expired, the player's token must leave
the category space on the next turn and anytime later re-enter it for the
player to attempt to answer another question.

4.	Jody will roll a die for the next player, and players will take
turns trying to earn a scoring wedge by answering a question after landing
on a category headquarters space around the perimeter of the game board.

5.	After a player has correctly answered a question in all six of the
category headquarters, the player's token must make its way along a spoke to
the hub in an attempt to win the game. The token must land in the hub by an
exact roll of the die.

6.	When the token lands in the hub, opposing players select the
category for the final question, by simple agreement or a vote. If the
question is answered correctly, the game is over and the player wins a nice
prize. If it is answered incorrectly, the player waits until his or her next
turn to answer another question in the category chosen by the opponents. It
is not necessary for Jody to roll the die again once a player's token is in
the hub.

7.	If we do not have a winner after playing from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., the
player with the most number of scoring wedges and was the first to enter the
hub (or is closest to the hub) will win a nice prize.

Call in at 6:25 p.m. The conference call phone number is 916-235-1420. The
access code is 879925, followed by # (pound).

April 26: Movie night featuring the audio-described animated movie Up
featuring the voice of Kansas City native Ed Asner. Don Mulik will read a
synopsis of the movie at 6:25 p.m., and the 96-minute movie will start
promptly at 6:30. Sighted people will be able to watch the movie on Zoom.
Blind and visually impaired people can use the NFB of Kansas conference call
line to listen to the movie.

I will send out a reminder later in the month, including the conference call
phone number and access code for the movie and a link to the Zoom meeting
for the movie.

I hope you will be able to join us.

Jody Mulik

Secretary
