Recreational Therapy is helping to improve a person's physical, mental, empotional, and social well being through recreational and leisure activities.
As an activity assistant, you probably played a lot of BINGO or maybe ahd sing alongs? Well, with RT added, a client may have a goal to be able to remember two things from the past through the music they are listening to.

I’m going to ask a really dumb question? What exactly is rectionation therpy? I think I know since iworked as an activity assistant in a nursing home part time for 6 years. Being a certified therapist must be interesting. I too loved working with the clients and families. Staff didn't appreciate me, those who weren't in my dept that is.
