To some extent, yes, the NFB is doing this perhaps not formally. Prior to becoming president of our local chapter I provided inclusion training two adults and children. I have done in services for staff training for prospective employers and mostly hands-on innovative presentations to school age you. I have also presented at places of faith and civic organizations.
When providing presentations in the schools I plan my presentations according to the age group the grade and sometimes academic requirements. I talk about felinis as a characteristic. When talking to young children I take off my very thick glasses let them look at my eyes my eyes look different than the ice with most people. I explained in very simple terms about rubella just Station and the importance of getting him a nice stations. Phone dictate feature should've said give me nice stations as in getting shots. I have provided an in-service to a couple of policeman and you shadowing them. It was amazing to hear that some of the policeman felt honorable when they close their eyes and I and other presenters provided sighted assistance and showed these individuals how to use a cane. Phone dictate feature should have said youth as in young adults and honorable as in feeling an ease and out of control. I have been invited to speak at ESL classes where there are many cultural differences and misconceptions about blindness and other disabilities. Knowledge is empowerment and builds bridges to understanding and inclusion.
I do a variety of things when I work with young people. I have done 15 minute presentations with preschoolers we talk about my guy dog is a helper dog we all just Sing-a-Song and play a game with covering our eyes. When talking to middle school students in high school student so I talk about stem to you sports and recreation going to college and working and raising a family.

I'm honest & tell them i live with another blind petson and are independent.The best question I got from a kindergardener recently was "why do I have a boyfriend instead of a husband? "

Though technology may replace the written part, I am wondering if anyone would have any suggestions in the event someone wanted to report something to me?
