Two Chicagoland organizations that offer sport and recreation to people with disabilities are finalists for a $10,000 prize in The Hartford’s “Achieve Without Limits” contest through Facebook.



Please take a moment EVERY DAY from now until December 30 to vote for one of these very deserving local programs:

The entities are both finalists in the “Community Service” category.  Here is a brief synopsis of the local candidates:



1.       Peter Mangelsdorf represents Lincolnway Special Recreation and requests support for his youth adaptive sport program.



2.       Keri Schindler and Dan Tun represent dare2tri, a collaborative program of the Chicago Park District, Great Lakes Adaptive Sport and Scheck & Siress.  They request support for their budding ParaTriathlon program that serves people of any age with physical or visual disabilities.
